October 2023

We were so excited to be able to provide lifetime memories to kids and families at 3 different events in October! For our first event, we were able to partner with Winshape Homes to send a beautiful family to a Braves game! Thanks to a donation by one of our supporters, not only did they get to attend, but they were able to sit in the Delta Club where they had the best seats in the house and all the food they could eat! They had a wonderful time and made awesome memories.

With a vision and belief that all children deserve to feel loved and well-cared for, S. Truett Cathy and his wife, Jeannette, established WinShape Homes over 30 years ago. Today, they have placed hundreds of children in need with families who are guided by Christ to care, and continue to support church ministries in establishing foster programs. WinShape families rely on an unparalleled network of care designed to ensure that children are restored in mind, body and spirit. Visit them at homes.winshape.org

Our second event was to an Atlanta United Soccer Game! We partnered with Murphy Harpst Children’s Home to send 8 kids and staff to see an exciting match at Mercedes Benz Stadium. They had a ton of fun, food and as an unexpected bonus received a free Atlanta United shirt! It was “shirt night” and each seat had a shirt awaiting attendees. How cool is that?

Murphy-Harpst is an independent not-for-profit organization committed to meeting the needs of abused and neglected young people through residential treatment, placements in specialized foster care, and community programs that serve at-risk youth and their families. In partnership with the United Methodist Women national office, our services are available to all children regardless of sex, race, color, or creed, and whose needs can be addressed and treated within the scope of program services. Visit them at murphyharpst.org

For our third event, we partnered with Kentucky United Methodist Children’s Home to send 8 kids and staff to a UK football game! One of their chaperones said that the kids had so much fun and it was a new experience for them all!

For 150 years, Kentucky United Methodist Children’s Home has served children who have experienced abuse, neglect, or trauma. They currently offer residential treatment, independent living, community-based behavioral health, outpatient therapy and adoption services. Visit them at www.kyumh.org.

Everyone deserves a Happy Gameday!  We would not be able to continue providing Happy Gameday experiences to these deserving kids and families without your support.  If you want to be a part of our mission to provide lifetime memories to kids and young adults, please help us out by following, sharing and liking our Facebook page.  You can also make a donation by clicking on the donation button.
