Our First Happy Gameday event was a huge success! We partnered with Murphy Harpst Children’s Home to take 6 kids and 2 staff members to a Braves game at Truist Park.
Murphy-Harpst, in partnership with the United Methodist Women’s national office, is an independent not-for-profit organization committed to meeting the needs of abused and neglected young people through residential treatment, placements in specialized foster care, and community programs that serve at-risk youth and their families. Visit them at murphyharpst.org.
We made sure to get to the stadium a little early so the kids could take a tour and see some of the cool things Truist Park has to offer. Before heading to our seats, we had the honor of going on to the field to meet Dansby Swanson! He graciously chatted with the kids and signed baseballs for all of them. It truly was the highlight of the day and a memory the kids will treasure the rest of their lives! Thanks so much, Dansby, for providing a lifetime memory to these kids AND adults! 😊 Everyone enjoyed pizza, burgers and drinks during the game and cheered hard and loud for the Braves. We can’t wait to take a group from this wonderful organization to another event!
“We were so honored to be a part of the first Happy Gameday event! We had a wonderful time and made once-in-a-lifetime memories. ”
