November was packed with fun and memories for families and kids!
We partnered with Murphy Harpst Children’s Center, Kentucky UMC Children’s home and Georgia Kids Belong to provide 4 exciting HAPPY GAMEDAY experiences in November!
Our first event was Disney LIVE at The Fox Theatre! We were able to send 2 families and everyone loved the show! The best part was seeing their favorite Disney characters come to life!
For our second event, we partnered with Kentucky UMC Children’s Home to send a group of 6 to see a University of Kentucky football game! They enjoyed tailgate food and cheered the CATS on to a victory!
We sent a group of 6 from Murphy Harpst Children’s home to cheer on the DAWGS at a UGA football game and they had a blast experiencing all of the fun that Sanford Stadium has to offer!
Finally, we partnered with Georgia Kids Belong to send a family of 6 to a UGA basketball game. This was their 1st basketball game together as a family and their 6-year-old son can’t wait to go back! Dad said everyone had a great time and enjoyed cheering on the DAWGS.
These families and kids all created fun lifetime memories, and we could not provide these experiences without your continued support!
Murphy-Harpst is an independent not-for-profit organization committed to meeting the needs of abused and neglected young people through residential treatment, placements in specialized foster care, and community programs that serve at-risk youth and their families. In partnership with the United Methodist Women national office, their services are available to all children regardless of sex, race, color, or creed, and whose needs can be addressed and treated within the scope of program services. Georgia Kids Belong started in 2020 and is a pilot of America’s Kids Belong. Their mission is to improve the experiences and outcomes for Georgia kids in the foster care system. They have great programs to include the I Belong Project, Foster Friendly Businesses and Foster Friendly Faith Communities. For 150 years, Kentucky United Methodist Children’s Home has served children who have experienced abuse, neglect, or trauma. They currently offer residential treatment, independent living, community-based behavioral health, outpatient therapy and adoption services. Visit them at www.kyumh.org.
