First of all, we want to thank everyone for your support of our 1st Happy Gameday Foundation Golf Fundraiser! We had a huge turnout and were overwhelmed with the love and support we received from our friends, family and community! We were able to raise almost $20,000, which far exceeded our expectations! All of these funds will be used toward our mission to provide Happy Gameday memories and fun to deserving kids and families. We will be sending out a “save the date” for next year’s tournament soon so be on the lookout!
What an exciting Happy Gameday we had! In partnership with Daimler Truck North America and Foster Village Charlotte, we were able to take 2 wonderful families to the Charlotte Football club vs. New York City Football game in Charlotte. None of us had been to a professional soccer game before and it was so much fun!
Foster Village Charlotte’s mission is based on three pillars:
Equip. Connect. Advocate.
Their mission is to help foster families and children by creating a village of support in the Charlotte area.
We arrived a couple of hours before the game to make sure we had time to take in all of the fun! The first thing we did was meet up with a Daimler Truck representative to go on to the field! The kids got to see the players warming up just a few feet in front of them. Some of the players even came over and took pictures with the kids and families. When we left the field, we were escorted to an area called The Vault where there was a spread of food and the best seats in the house! The kids were also given a bag full of Charlotte Football Club Swag! The game was a blast and topped off with a win by the Charlotte Football Club. The players walked right through The Vault after the game and signed autographs. It was a fun filled evening!
“I can’t even begin to share how truly amazing (and magical) this past weekend was. Everything was perfect and so organized. We really did feel like VIP’s the whole night. I can’t even imagine one thing that would have made it better. Our daughter’s favorite parts were meeting the players, all of the food and getting autographs on the scarves they gave her! It was extra special to be part of something to honor your son Brendan. I imagine he was with us all night in spirit, and I can only imagine how proud he is of the work you all are doing on his behalf. It was truly something we will always remember.”
